iPod Does Not Work Through Audio/MMCS - All with MMNA Accessory iPod Adapter (MZ607411EX). If a customer's iPod is unable to play music through the vehicle's audio system or MMCS, using the iPod adapter accessory, confirm if the customer has an old iPod. Older versions of iPod may not be recognized by the adapter. If you encounter a complaint relating to iPod not playing, try using an newer iPod. If some or all of the functionality returns, then the issue is likely that the customer's iPod is outdated (either software or hardware). They should update their iPod or its software to be able to fully take advantage of the accessory. See the chart later in this issue for additional details. As a final note, the adapter does not recognize data to play videos or display images.
