Accelerator Cable
- Start engine and allow to idle. Check idle speed. Idle speed should be 600-800 RPM.
- Remove intermediate link cover. Check deflection of inner accelerator cable. If deflection is excessive, or no play exists in inner cable, loosen accelerator cable adjusting bolts and nuts.
- Loosen jam nut and fully close throttle lever. Tighten adjusting nut until throttle lever starts to move. Loosen adjusting nut one turn. Tighten adjusting nut to jam nut. Free play should be .04-.08" (1-2 mm). See Fig 1
