Ecu Check Function

NOTE: The ECU CHECK function checks the communication status of each ECU. Displays of NG does not always mean ECU malfunction. If a malfunction is found by the ECU CHECK function, go to SYMPTOM TESTS .
  1. Use the scan tool and the SWS monitor kit to check ECUs. Refer to MUT-II Reference Manual.
  2. The following ECUs can be checked by using the scan tool and the SWS monitor kit. See ECU CONDITION CHECK  table.
ECU CONDITION CHECK

ECU Scan Tool Display Normal Condition ECU Conditions
Column Switch (Column-ECU) OK All Column Switch Power Supply, Ground and interconnecting Communication Lines Are Normal
ETACS-ECU OK ETACS-ECU Switch Power Supply, Ground and interconnecting Communication Lines Are Normal
Front-ECU OK Front-ECU Switch Power Supply, Ground and interconnecting Communication Lines Are Normal
Other SWS Related ECUs NG ECUs Are Not Used
