- Verify customer complaint by attempting to operate system. Check for immobilizer system Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Perform appropriate procedure under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS.
- If problem is not related to a DTC or scan tool does not function. Repair by symptom. See table under SYSTEM TESTS.
