Test No. 2: Registering Ignition Key Not Possible

Using scan tool, erase immobilizer system Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). Check if immobilizer system DTC 11 resets. If DTC 11 resets, diagnose transponder communication system fault. See DTC 11: TRANSPONDER COMMUNICATION SYSTEM MALFUNCTION OR RADIO INTERFERENCE OF ENCRYPTED CODE . If DTC 11 does not reset, replace ignition key that cannot be registered. Re-register encrypted code. See PROGRAMMING . Ensure that new ignition key can be registered.
