Test 3: Montero

  1. Check power window main switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH TEST  under COMPONENT TESTS. If switch is okay, go to next step. If switch is faulty, replace switch, then retest system.
  2. Check rear power window sub-switch (left side). See POWER WINDOW SWITCH TEST  under COMPONENT TESTS. If switch is okay, go to next step. If switch is faulty, replace switch then retest system.
  3. Test rear power window motor (left side). See POWER WINDOW MOTOR TEST  under COMPONENT TESTS. If motor is okay, go to next step. If motor is faulty, replace motor, then retest system.
  4. Check Red/Black and Green/Black wiring between rear power window sub-switch and rear power window motor (left side). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If wiring is okay, go to next step. Repair wiring if damaged, then retest system.
  5. Check Red and Green wiring harness between power window main switch and rear power window sub-switch (left side). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair wiring and retest system.
