Test 2: Montero

  1. Check power window main switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH TEST  under COMPONENT TESTS. If switch is okay, go to next step. If switch is faulty, replace switch, then retest system.
  2. Check front power window sub-switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH TEST  under COMPONENT TESTS. If switch is okay, go to next step. If switch is faulty, replace switch then retest system.
  3. Test passenger's side power window motor. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR TEST  under COMPONENT TESTS. If motor is okay, go to next step. If motor is faulty, replace motor, then retest system.
  4. Check Red/Black and Green/Black wiring between front power window sub-switch and power window motor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If wiring is okay, go to next step. Repair wiring if damaged, then retest system.
  5. Check Red/White and Green/White wiring between power window main switch and front power window sub-switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair wiring and retest system.
