Test No. 5

  1. Remove power window main switch from door panel. Test power window main switch. See MAIN SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. If power window main switch is okay, go to next step. If power window main switch is bad, replace switch and retest system.
  2. Remove power window sub-switch from left rear door panel. Test power window left rear sub-switch. See SUB-SWITCH  under POWER WINDOW SWITCH under COMPONENT TESTS. If power window left rear sub-switch is okay, go to next step. If power window left rear sub-switch is bad, replace switch and retest system.
  3. Remove left rear door panel. Test power window motor operation. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR  . If power window motor is okay, go to next step. If power window motor is bad, replace motor and retest system. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  4. Check for continuity in Red/Black and Green/Black wires between power window motor and sub-switch. Repair wires as necessary and retest system. If wires are okay, go to next step.
  5. Check for continuity in Orange and Yellow wires between power window sub-switch and main switch. Orange wire at power window sub-switch changes to Green at first in-line connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair wires as necessary and retest system. If wires are okay, problem is intermittent. Check all connections and retest system.
