Test No. 2

  1. Remove front ECU. Front ECU is located in engine compartment relay box. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and front ECU harness connector A-09X terminal No. 15. See Fig 1 . Front ECU harness connector A-09X is part of engine compartment relay box. If voltage is about 12 volts, repair Blue/Red wire between ignition switch and front ECU harness connector A-09X, terminal No. 15. If voltage is not about 12 volts, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Remove power window relay. Check relay. See POWER WINDOW RELAY  under COMPONENT TESTING. If power window relay is okay, go to next step. If power window relay is bad, replace relay and retest system.
  3. Measure voltage between ground and power window relay connector terminals No. 1 and No. 5. See Fig 2 . If voltage is about 12 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not about 12 volts, repair appropriate circuit as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  4. Check continuity of Light Blue wire between front ECU harness connector A-09X, terminal No. 14 and power window relay connector terminal No. 3. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . If continuity does not exist, repair Light Blue wire and retest system. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  5. Check continuity of Yellow/Green wire between power window relay connector terminal No. 4 and intermediate connector C-66. If continuity does not exist, repair Yellow/Green wire and retest system. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  6. Check for continuity between ground and front ECU harness connector A-09X terminal No. 1 (Black wire). If continuity does not exist, repair Black wire and retest system. If continuity exists, replace front ECU and go to next step.
  7. Remove power window main switch from door panel. Check for continuity between ground and power window main switch connector E-16 terminal No. 12 (Black wire). See Fig 3 . If continuity does not exist, repair Black wire and retest system. If continuity exists, replace power window main switch and retest system.
