Test M-1: Dome Light Inoperative
- Check for dome light illumination at all dome light switch positions. If dome light does not illuminate at all switch positions, go to step 3 . If dome light illuminates when dome light switch is in ON position, go to next step.
- Check dome light 3-pin connector (without sunroof) or 4-pin connector (with sunroof) and ETACS-ECU 20-pin connector C-114 for loose, damaged or corroded terminals. Check for open or short in Green/Orange wire between ETACS-ECU connector C-114 terminal No. 20 and dome light connector terminal No. 2 (without sunroof) or No. 3 (with sunroof). See Figure . If problem exists, repair connector or Green/Orange wire as necessary and retest dome light operation. If problem does not exist, replace ETACS-ECU and retest dome light operation.
- Check dome light bulb. If bulb is blown, replace bulb and retest dome light operation. If bulb is okay, check dome light connector for loose, damaged or corroded terminals. If problem exists, repair connector as necessary and retest dome light operation. If problem does not exist, go to next step.
- Disconnect dome light 3-pin connector (without sunroof) or 4-pin connector (with sunroof). Measure voltage between ground and dome light connector terminal No. 3 (Orange/Black wire - without sunroof) or No. 2 (Orange/Black wire - with sunroof). If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Orange/Black wire between dome light connector and engine compartment relay box and retest dome light operation. If battery voltage exists, repair open in Black wire between dome light connector terminal No. 1 and ground and retest dome light operation. Ground is located near rearview mirror.
