Camber Adjustment: 3000GT

CAUTION: DO NOT allow weight of vehicle on wheel bearings when drive axle nut is loosened.
  1. Loosen drive axle nut and install Wheel Alignment Gauge Attachment (MB991004) to drive axle. Tighten nut to 166 ft. lbs. (225 N.m). Attach bubble gauge to attachment. Check camber. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS (3000GT)  table.
  2. If camber is not within specification, loosen eccentric cam nut on strut-to-knuckle upper mounting bolt. Rotate eccentric cam bolt to obtain correct camber. See Fig 1. Each mark represents a change of .33 degree of camber.
NOTE: Each camber mark also changes toe about .02" (.5 mm). Adjust toe-in after camber has been adjusted. Difference in camber between left and right should be within 1/2 degree.
