Test No. 7

  1. Perform simplified diagnostic mode test. See appropriate MULTIPLEX CONTROL SYSTEMS article. If normal code output is possible, go to next step. If normal code output is not possible, see appropriate MULTIPLEX CONTROL SYSTEMS article.
  2. While in multiplex control system diagnostics, perform switch diagnosis mode. If ETACS-ECU buzzer sounds and high beam indicator illuminates for .1 second when power window main switch is depressed, go to next step. If buzzer does not sound and high beam indicator does not illuminate, replace door module.
  3. Check connectors and circuit between ETACS-ECU and left rear power window switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair as necessary. If connectors and circuits are okay, replace ETACS-ECU.
