Test 8K - Bus Short To 5 Volts

After each repair, perform TEST VER-1 .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.- This test applies to FJ22 and F24S bodies only. Using an external voltmeter, check voltage on Data Link Connector (DLC) 12-pin connector terminal No. 7 (Black/Dark Blue wire). If voltage is more than 4 volts, repair Black/Dark Blue wire for short to voltage.
- If voltage is less than 4 volts, check voltage on DLC 12-pin connector terminal No. (White/Dark Blue wire). If voltage is more than 4 volts, repair White/Dark Blue wire for short to voltage. If voltage is less than 4 volts, replace scan tool cable or scan tool cartridge as necessary.
