Test 8E - Bus Short To 5 Volts

WIRING DIAGRAMS - 2.0L & 2.4L

After each repair, perform TEST VER-1.

CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Use scan tool in ohmmeter mode to check resistance of instrument cluster Red connector terminal No. 4 (Black/Light Green wire). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Black/Light Green wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  2. Check resistance of Blue instrument cluster connector terminal No. 11 (Black/Orange wire). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Black/Orange wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace instrument cluster.
