Test 7B - Bus Short To Battery

WIRING DIAGRAMS - 2.0L & 2.4L

After each repair, perform TEST VER-1.

CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position before disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance between Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector terminals No. 44 (Orange/White wire) and No. 59 (Violet/Brown wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Orange/White wire and Violet/Brown wire, Yellow wire and Black/Dark Blue wire, or Orange wire and Violet/Brown wire.
  2. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, check resistance between PCM connector terminals No. 44 (Orange/White wire) and No. 60 (White/Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Orange/White wire and White/Black wire, Yellow wire and White/Dark Blue wire, or Orange wire and White/Black wire. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace PCM.
