DTC 16 - Power Supply

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect RWAL ECU harness connector. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, check voltage between ground and RWAL ECU harness connector terminals No. 1 (Blue/Black wire) and No. 2 (Blue wire). See Figure . Voltage should be battery voltage. If voltage is not as specified, inspect and repair circuits between fuses No. 1 and 20, and RWAL ECU.
  2. Conduct performance test on alternator. Ensure output is 13.9-14.9 volts at 68°F (20°C). Repair charging system as needed.
  3. If after all tests have been completed system still does not function properly, substitute known-good RWAL ECU and retest system.
