Motor Relay

  1. Remove motor relay. Using a DVOM, check resistance between relay terminals No. 1 and 3. See Fig 1 . Resistance should be 49-99 ohms. Check for continuity between relay terminals No. 4 and 5. Continuity should not exist.
  2. Apply battery voltage between relay terminals No. 1 and No. 3. Check resistance between terminals No. 4 and 5. Resistance should be zero ohms. If relay does not test as specified, replace relay.
