Valve Relay Check

  1. Remove valve relay from hydraulic unit. Using a DVOM, measure resistance between terminals No. 85 and 86. See Figure .
  2. Resistance should be 60-120 ohms. Check for continuity between terminals No. 30 and 87a. Continuity should be present with approximately zero ohms. Check for continuity between terminals No. 30 and 87. Continuity should not be present.
  3. Apply battery voltage to terminals No. 85 and 86. Check for continuity between terminals No. 30 and 87a. Continuity should not be present. Check for continuity between terminals No. 30 and 87. Continuity should be present with approximately zero ohms resistance. If DVOM readings are not as specified, replace valve relay.
