Steering Gear - Power: Description

Power-assisted rack and pinion steering system consists of a vane pump, flow control valve and an oil reservoir. The belt-driven vane pump supplies fluid through hoses to the flow control valve. The flow control valve regulates fluid pressure to assist rack and pinion steering gear. On Sigma and some Galant models, rack and pinion steering is electronically controlled.
