Tachometer Test
Connect a tune-up test tachometer using the schematic inFig 1 and manufacturers instructions. Ensure tester is set to 4-cylinder. Start engine and let run. Compare readings on vehicle tachometer with readings on tester. Refer to TACHOMETER ALLOWABLE VARIATION . If readings vary more than specified, replace tachometer.
