Front Wiper Motor - Low Speed Operation Check

  1. On all models except Precis, disconnect wiring connector from wiper motor. Connect battery voltage to wiper motor connector and ensure wiper motor operates.
  2. Check low speed operation by connecting battery voltage to one connector terminal and ground to other connector terminal. See LOW SPEED OPERATION CHECK TERMINAL NUMBERS  for terminal numbers. SeeFig 1 .

  3. On Precis models, the wiper/washer switch must be checked for continuity between the following terminals:
    • With switch in "OFF" position, continuity must be present between "LO" and "P".
    • With switch in "INT" position, continuity must be present between "LO", "P", "INT" and "Ew".
    • With switch in "LO" position, continuity must be present between "LO" and "Ew."
    • With switch in "HI" position, continuity must be present between "HI" and "Ew".
    • With switch in "WASHER" position, continuity must be present between "Ew" and "W".
