Strut Assembly: Inspection
- Check strut insulator bearing for wear, damage or looseness. The bearing is integral with strut insulator. If defective, replace strut insulator as an assembly.
- Check rubber components and coil spring for damage or deterioration. Inspect strut for cracks, damage, oil leakage, bent piston rod assembly and unusual noise. Minimum outer diameter of piston rod is .8642" (21.950 mm). Replace components as necessary.
