Lower Control Arm: Installation

  1. Press in new bushing until it contacts end surface of control arm. Install knuckle arm. Install lower control arm. Apply sealer to flange mating surfaces of strut assembly and steering knuckle arm. Install strut assembly, stabilizer bar, strut rod and remaining components.
  2. Tighten control arm shaft, stabilizer bar nuts and strut rod with vehicle resting on the ground. Ensure stabilizer bar mount bolt end-to-lock nut surface distance is correct. See STABILIZER BAR & STRUT ROD in this article. After installation, check front end alignment.
