PURPOSE

This bulletin identifies the nameplate color for the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) in the Automatic Speed Control System.

DETAILS OF CHANGE

The identification color of the control unit is changed from "Blue" to "Blue or Yellow" as illustrated in Fig. Fig 1 .

Some earlier production cars of 1987 model STARION are equipped with an ECU having no self-diagnosis and input check functions. (Type B) although the ECUs on all later produced 1987 model cars are provided with these functions and also a diagnosis connector (Type A).

The Type A and Type B ECUs can be identified by their nameplate colors as follows: Type A: Green Type B: Blue or Yellow
