Accelerator Cable

  1. Warm engine by operating at idle. Turn ignition switch to "OFF" position. Ensure sharp bends are not present in accelerator cable and inner cable does not have excessive or no slack.
  2. Turn ignition switch to "ON" position for 15 seconds with engine off. Loosen accelerator cable adjusting nut so throttle lever is free. Turn accelerator adjusting nut to a position where throttle lever begins to move. Loosen adjusting nut 1/2 turn and tighten lock nut.
