ENGINE MISS ON 4-CYL - DISTRIBUTOR OIL LEAKS

YEAR(S): 1987

MANUFACTURER: Mitsubishi

MODEL(S): Galant

ISSUE & TIP

An oil leak inside the side-mounted distributor may cause an engine miss on four cylinder 1987 Mitsubishi Galants. The oil builds up inside the distributor and will cause a dead cylinder.

This problem can be a little confusing because different cylinders may be affected at different times. Remove and replace the distributor, then clean up the oil.
