Wiper Relay: Montero
- If wipers do not stop in the correct position when the wiper switch is set to the intermittent position, check to see if output voltage from terminal No. 3 is synchronized with operation of wipers. SeeFigure . When wipers are stopped, voltage should be 12 volts. When wipers are operating, voltage should be zero.
- If wipers do not operate when wiper switch is set to intermittent position, confirm that power is supplied to terminals No. 1 and No. 4. Confirm that voltage between terminal No. 6 and ground is zero.
- If wipers do not operate when wiper switch is turned on, confirm that power is supplied to terminals No. 1 and No. 4. Confirm that voltage between terminal No. 5 and ground is zero while washer switch is on.
- Confirm that voltage between terminal No. 3 and ground is 12 volts at the moment the washer switch is turned on, and that the voltage is zero approximately one second later. Voltage should also be zero within 2 to 5 seconds after washer switch is turned off.
