Low Boost Pressure

  1. Check for exhaust leaks and for restrictions in exhaust system. Check for air leaks on compressor discharge side. Check air cleaner element for restrictions.
  2. Check for a wastegate or relief valve that is stuck open. If turbocharger shaft does not rotate smoothly when turned by hand, replace turbocharger assembly.
