Fuel Injection Pump: Installation
- Make sure that timing marks on camshaft sprocket and injection pump sprocket are aligned with respective timing marks. See Fig 1 .
- With injection pump sprocket (carrying belt) lifted up, install injection pump. Insert pump drive shaft in sprocket taper hole.NOTE: Make sure that injection pump drive shaft key is not displaced or dropped.
- Temporarily tighten two nuts and two bolts securing injection pump. Tighten nut securing pump sprocket to specified torque.
- Install injection pipes. Take care to hold delivery valve holder and nozzle with a wrench to keep them from twisting with the pipe nut.
- Adjust timing belt tension and injector pump timing with engine stopped. Bleed fuel system before starting engine.
