Glow Plugs

A dropping resistor circuit has been adapted to the glow plug system. This system includes a dropping resistor and relay. In addition a new design glow plug and glow control unit are used. After system has provided an ultra-quick heating method for the glow plug, dropping resistor reduces the voltage to the plug.

The glow plug circuit has two main circuits to maintain the glow plug at constant temperature and to shorten the pre-starting time. One is the quick heat circuit which applies battery voltage directly to the glow plugs. The other is a heat stabilization circuit which decreases voltage to the glow plug by changing the power source to the dropping circuit when the glow plug reaches the design temperature.
