Failure of the component

If the backrest heating for the driver and/or passenger fails, the following behavior is to be expected:

• Seat heating control via seat module:

  Fault memory entry in the driver seat module (SMFA) or front passenger seat module (SMBF)

• Seat heating control via driver seat-heating electronics or front passenger seat-heating electronics:

Fault code entry in the junction box electronics (JBE) or in the rear electronic module (REM) or in the Body Domain Controller (BDC)
