Diagnosis instructions

Swapping with control units from other vehicles is not possible. The Body Domain Controller (BDC) can only be ordered as a new part. The Body Domain Controller (BDC) is supplied already encoded to the vehicle. Adjustment of the electronic immobiliser is not necessary.

NOTE: Follow the instructions for service functions!

Once a Body Domain Controller (BDC) has been installed, start-up must be carried out with the help of the diagnosis system. When the Body Domain Controller (BDC) is replaced, the integrated central gateway module (ZGM) is also replaced. Therefore the central gateway module (ZGM) must also be started up. In the course of this, for example, the configuration of the vehicle and the FlexRay connection are relearned. Adjustments must also be made for the electronic transmission control (EGS) and the electric steering lock once the control unit has been replaced. During this adjustment, the Body Domain Controller (BDC) transmits the individual code to the electronic transmission control (EGS) or the electric steering lock.
