Structure and inner electrical connection

The battery management electronics (SME) is a bus user on the PT-CAN2.

The rear power distribution box supplies the high-voltage battery unit and the integrated battery management electronics with terminal 30F.

If the safety battery terminal is activated in an accident, the battery management electronics switches the high-voltage electrical system off.

The battery management electronics is connected to the electrical machine electronics (EME) by a high-voltage cable.

For the high-voltage interlock loop, a test lead passes through all connectors of the high-voltage components.

The battery management electronics are connected to the Body Domain Controller (BDC) via the wake-up line (terminal 15 wake-up line).

NOTE: A temperature sensor is connected directly to the battery management electronics (SME). This temperature sensor monitors the temperature of the refrigerant lines.
