Determining fuel consumption
It is necessary to determine the fuel consumption correctly in order to achieve the required effect of the adjustment procedure. The following procedure is recommended for this purpose:
- Refuel vehicle completely full (to brim)
- On-board computer: recalculate fuel consumption
- Drive vehicle over several hundred kilometres (with several refuellings if necessary)
- Refuel vehicle completely full (to brim)
- Calculate actual fuel consumption
NOTE:
Driving with different driving styles can influence the adjustment accuracy and its effect on the energy control display.
