Tailgate/tailgate lock
The tailgate lock is equipped with the familiar rotary striker and interlock pawl closing elements.
The tailgate lock is electrically unlocked via the operating points. The Body Domain Controller (BDC) activates the direct current motor of the release drive in the tailgate lock, thereby triggering the tailgate lock to unlock.
The status change in the rotary striker switch is also processed for the anti-theft alarm system. The Body Domain Controller (BDC) sends the status as a K-CAN2 message to the roof function center (FZD).
