Airbag Sensor, Front Left Door: Notes

The front left door airbag sensor is installed in the inner door panel. The front left door airbag sensor and front right door airbag sensor are identical components.

The front left door airbag sensor supports side-impact collision detection. The signals of the airbag sensor are evaluated in addition to the lateral-acceleration signals to ensure rapid trigger times. The signals are evaluated in the crash safety module (ACSM).

"ACSM" stands for "Advanced Crash Safety Module".
