Air Distribution Flap Motor: Notes
The air distribution flap motor has the task of setting the air distribution via central kinematics over a cam disc.
The air-distribution control wheel can be used to select the following programs for air distribution:
- Air distribution to the windows
- Air distribution to the upper body area
- Air distribution to the windows, to the upper body area and into the footwell
- Air distribution into the footwell
If the air-distribution control wheel in the control panel of the heater/air conditioning system is used to set the desired air distribution, the control unit for the heater/air conditioning system activates the air-distribution-flap motor.
The cam disk is connected to the air-distribution-flap motor and adjusts the air-distribution flaps via the central kinematics.
The drive consists basically of following parts:
- Air-distribution-flap motor (actuator drive)
- Electronic module (with integrated switching circuit)
- Transmission
- Housing
