31 00... Front axle + steering repair work requiring subsequent wheel alignment

Perform wheel alignment after the following repair work:

• Release the following screw connection: 
  • Steering box to front axle support
  • Tie rod end to tie rod
  • Wishbone to front axle support
• Replacement of following parts: 
  1. Front axle carrier
  2. Bellows (if the tie rod end has to be screwed off)
  3. Steering gear
  4. Swivel bearing
  5. Tie rod end
  6. Tie rod
  7. Wishbone
  8. Rubber mount with holder for wishbone

For alignment procedure, refer to ALIGNMENT CHECK WITH VEHICLE LOAD UP TO DESIGN POSITION  or ALIGNMENT CHECK WITH RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT (WITHOUT VEHICLE LOAD) .
