Removing and installing/replacing flywheel (B36 engine) (Cooper base): Installation
Vehicles with manual transmission:
Position flywheel (B).
Replace flywheel bolts (1) to (8).
Parts: Flywheel bolts
Screw in the new flywheel bolts by hand using special tool 0 491 018 (11 4 180).
Ensure that the tightening sequence starts with dowel pin (A).
Secure flywheel with transmission bolt (1) and special tool 11 9 811/11 9 265.
Tighten the flywheel bolts using special tool 11 4 180 (note the angle of rotation in the next step).
Tightening torque: 11 22 1AZ .
Mark all flywheel bolts (1) with a vertical line.
Tighten all flywheel bolts (1) at an angle of rotation of 45° using special tool. 00 9 120.
Remove special tool 11 9 811/11 9 265.
Vehicles with automatic transmission:
Position flywheel (B).
Replace flywheel bolts (1) to (8).
Parts: Flywheel bolts
Ensure that the tightening sequence starts with dowel pin (A).
Secure flywheel with transmission bolt (1) and special tool 11 9 811/11 9 265.
Tighten the flywheel bolts (note the angle of rotation in the next step).
Tightening torque: 11 22 1AZ .

Tighten all flywheel bolts (1) at an angle of rotation of 45° using special tool. 00 9 120.
Remove special tool 11 9 811/11 9 265.
