Compatible Bluetooth mobile phones

Mobile phones can be connected to the headunit via Bluetooth. In order to offer the customer a simpler and clearer overview of which devices are compatible, the Internet page http://www.bmw.com/bluetooth  will be revised. By 03/2010, customers visiting the website will be able to see which functionalities on the various different end devices are compatible with the headunit. The focus will be on the following information:

• Information on which mobile phone is basically compatible in which function.
• Information on whether a specific mobile phone is compatible in detail in which function.
• Information on how the compatibility of a specific mobile phone with a specific vehicle can be improved (e. g. by means of a software update).

Customers who already own a BMW vehicle will be able to identify their vehicle via the vehicle identification number. In the first step, the database will only list mobile phones.
