Blockage identification
The blockage identification is active during opening and closing of the tailgate.
If the boot lid/tailgate 'blocks' while opening, the boot lid lifting drive is stopped immediately.
If the tailgate or boot lid 'blocks' while closing, the lid lifting drive is briefly reversed by its control unit (HKL) (= Reversing action). If at the time of the next request signal, the tailgate remains blocked, the boot lid/tailgate lifting drives stop being activated.
Seizure, or blockage, is recognized when the drive motors stop transmitting signals from the Hall-effect sensors. A seized, or blocked drive motor is also recognized whenever the current draw or motor rotation rate rises above the specified level within a specified time frame.
