Power window switch

Applicable to MINI, R60 up to 10.2012

The switches for the power windows are located in the center console control panel (SZM). The R60

Countryman also has a safety switch for the rear power window (child safety) in the SZM. The SZM is connected by way of a LIN bus to the IHKA control unit. Signals from these switches are evaluated by the IHKA control unit. There are additional power window switches in the rear doors of the R60 Countryman which are connected directly to the junction box electronics (JBE).

Power window central control (convertible): The power window switch for operating all power windows is pressed and held down. The rear windows are lowered simultaneously. If the power window switch continues to be held down after the rear windows have lowered, the front windows will lower simultaneously.

Applicable to R60 and R61 from 11.2012

The driver's door switch block contains the switches for the power window regulators and mirror adjustment and a safety switch for the rear power window regulators (child safety lock). The front power window regulator and mirror adjustment signals are evaluated in the footwell module (FRM). The driver's door switch block is connected by way of a LIN bus to the FRM. There are additional power window switches in the rear doors of the R60 which are connected directly to the junction box electronics (JBE).
