54 34... Removing And Installing Motor Wiring Harness

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

WARNING:

Soft top becomes pressureless without a warning signal.

For all work, secure soft top with a suitable support tool against collapsing.

Ensure Convertible top is supported in the middle.

Ignition must remain switched off during the repair work.

Failure to comply with this instruction may result in the hydraulic valves incurring preliminary damage.

The right side is removed in the same way as the left side.

Open retaining bar at ball end (1).

Unclip ball end (1).

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Release screw (2).

Detach cable tie.

Installation: 

Replace faulty cable ties:

Mark position of Hall sensor.

Release screw (1) on Hall sensor.

Unfasten plug connection (2) and disconnect.

Remove wiring harness.
