65 12 240 Removing And Installing Digital Radio (IBOS) (Us Version Only)

NOTE: Follow instructions for handling optical fibers. See61 00 ... NOTES ON HANDLING OPTICAL FIBERS .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect negative battery cable. See 61 20 900 DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD .
Remove luggage compartment trim on left side panel. See BODY EQUIPMENT - REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS -- ALPINA .

Release screws (1) and remove holder (2).

Disconnect plug connections (1, 2) and remove IBOS tuner (3) complete with bracket.

Replacement:

Release screws (4) and remove IBOS tuner from bracket.
