Front base plate

The base plate for mounting the mobile phone via the snap-in adapter is located in the center armrest (with the optional equipment SA6NF extended connection of the music players in the mobile phone). Depending on the mobile phone used, a special snap-in adapter may be required. The snap-in adapter inserted into the base plate instead of the storage tray.

The mobile phone is charged and connected with the roof-mounted aerial via the snap-in adapter. A USB connection and an AUX-IN connection is also established with the vehicle. These functions can vary depending on the snap-in adapter. Information on available snap-in adapters and their functions can be found in the BMW Electronic Parts Catalogue (ETK).

Depending on the vehicle equipment, the base plate will have an integrated video connection. The connection is for the playback of video files from a connected smartphone.

The snap-in adapters are only available for BMW Group approved mobile phones and can vary depending on the vehicle and equipment. A fitting snap-in adapter can be found in the BMW Electronic Parts Catalogue (ETK).
