Structure and inner electrical connection

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 45 other vehicles, including the 2016 BMW M5, 2016 BMW 550i xDrive, 2016 BMW 550i, 2016 BMW 535i xDrive, and 2016 BMW 535i. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The engine oil pressure/temperature sensor is connected by a 3-pin plug connection.

The engine oil pressure/temperature sensor receives its earth/ground and a supply voltage of 5 V from the engine control unit. The pulse-width-modulated signal is split into 3 fixed cycles. The first cycle is for synchronization and diagnostic purposes. The second and third cycles transmit the temperature and the pressure respectively.
