65 83... Removing and installing (replacing) Car Information Computer (CIC)

NOTE: Comply with notes and instructions on HANDLING OPTICAL WAVEGUIDES .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD
Remove CENTRAL TRIM FOR INSTRUMENT PANEL

Release screws (1).

Pull CIC (2) forwards a little.

Unlock associated plug connections and disconnect.

Remove CIC (2).

Installation:

Make sure CIC (2) is correctly seated in guide lugs (3).

Replacement:

Carry out PROGRAMMING/CODING .
