65 77 720 Removing and installing/replacing left or right B-pillar sensor (from 09/2005)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect battery negative lead . See 12 00... INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY .
Remove trim panel for door pillar (bottom).

Release screw (1).

Slacken screw (2) and feed out B-pillar sensor in downward direction.

Tightening torque 65 77 5AZ , see 77 AIRBAG TRIGGER DEVICE

Installation:

Make sure centering pin (3) is correctly seated.

Replace screws (1 and 2).

Disconnect plug connection (1) and remove B-pillar sensor.
