65 77 690 Removing And Installing/Replacing Central Gateway Module (Up To Build Date 03/2004)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove safety information module . See 65 77 700 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) SAFETY INFORMATION MODULE .

NOTE: Follow instructions for handling optical fibers. See61 00 ... NOTES ON HANDLING OPTICAL FIBERS .

After installation:

Carry out coding/programming. See VEHICLE PROGRAMMING AND CODING .

Unlock catch (1) in direction of arrow.

Pull central gateway module (2) out of control unit carrier (3) slightly.

Disconnect plug connections (4).

Remove central gateway module (2).
