32 31 020 Removing And Installing / Replacing Lower Section Of Steering Column Trim

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Move steering column in "top" and "extended" position
Unclip front section of steering column trim and bring into contact with steering wheel. See 32 31 010 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FRONT SECTION OF STEERING COLUMN COVER .

NOTE: The front section has been removed to simplify the depiction in the graphics.

Release screw.

Press lower section off steering column with a suitable tool.

Installation:

Replace expansion rivet.

Installation:

Pins (2) must engage in locks (1).
